Don Quixote Heaven…

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV Resort…about 20 miles east of Palm Springs, California.

I first posted this info in December, 2014…

Remember Don Quixote? He was the Man From La Mancha…a knight-errant who set off into the world to do battle with windmills.

Back in 2011, Mary and I visited Don Quixote heaven about 20 miles east of my present camping site . It’s the San Gorgonio Pass Wind Farm. It consists of more than 4,000 electrical-generating windmills and is located in North Palm Springs, California. Mary has a real interest in energy-efficient devices and really appreciated seeing these guys up close and personal. Normally they’re atop some distant mountain. While we were there, the wind was at about a constant 50 miles per hour!

Recently I’ve been running blogs about my 2004 Central America trip. While here I’m intending to continue those postings while also alternating with other past blogs.

I hope you enjoyed the photos.

Yesterday was sunny and 89 degrees. Forecast for today is mostly cloudy and 84 degrees. To danged hot!
