Wimer, Oregon To Anderson, California

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

Yesterday I drove the motorhome 198 miles from Wimer, Oregon to Anderson California.

I spent the last eight days parked at Mary’s rental property. It is under contract to be sold and is scheduled to close by Thanksgiving. During this time, Mary, myself and a local gal by the name of Susan whom Mary hired had been really busy getting rid of the furnishings and doing cleaning.

The house is now empty and clean…

I’ll depart here later this morning.

I’m expecting to arrive at Mary’s home in central California around November 9th. I’ll depart November 27th. While there, I’ll do routine maintenance, minor repairs and major cleaning of the Bronco and motorhome.

Yesterday I drove the motorhome 187 miles from Florence to Wimer, Oregon.

Wimer, Oregon… is 13 miles north of Rogue River. It’s the location of Mary’s rental property which has recently decided to sell. It’s currently under contract and scheduled to close in about three weeks. She arrived yesterday and will be selling off some of her furnishings this weekend. I’ve stopped by to give her a helping hand.

Most of yesterday’s trip was om Interstate 5…

NOTE: THE INTERNET SIGNAL AT MARY’S LOCATION IS VERY WEAK AND VERY, VERY SLOW. HENCE, I WILL NOT BE PUBLISHING ANY MORE BLOG POSTINGS UNTIL I LEAVE HERE. SO, DON’T WORRY ABOUT ME IF YOU DON’T HEAR FROM ME FOR SEVERAL DAYS.

The covered bridge in Wimer, Oregon has a 10,000 pound load limit. The motorhome weighs 16,000 pounds so I have to take a different route around it…

A Look Around Rogue River, Oregon

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 21st year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Yesterday I drove the motorhome 20 miles from Wimer to Gold Hill, Oregon.

Along the way, I stopped in Rogue River.

Today’s subject…

Rogue River was originally named Tailholt.

The Tailholt Legend…

In the early days, gold seekers forded the Rogue River, often swimming across by holding onto the tail of their horse.

Woodville: In 1872, John Woods built the first framed house in the area. It served as a stage stop, post office and rooming house. Soon there emerged a thriving community commonly called “Woodville”.

Rogue River: It wasn’t until 1912 that the community was incorporated as a city and officially named Rogue River.

Here are some of the photos that I took yesterday in between raindrops…

Nicolaus, California To Wimer, Oregon

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.

Yesterday I drove the motorhome 313 miles from Nicolaus, California to Wimer, Oregon.

I’m now at Mary’s other (new) home were construction is nearly finished. I expect to be here one week and depart on March 17th.

Note: Due to a very low Internet signal here (one bar 1X), I’m having real difficulty loading photos…so you only get two today…the header of Mt. Shasta and Mary’s seven grassy acres below. She has a worker arriving tomorrow to cut the grass. Unless I find a way to improve my Internet signal, I may not blog again until I reach my next destination of Florence, Oregon on May 17th.

Mary has several neighbors watching over her property when she is not here.

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…
