Clean The Outside Storage Compartments – Day 2

The motorhome is parked in Mary’s yard at her home at Murphys, California. I expect to be here until shortly after Thanksgiving cleaning and doing minor work on both the motorhome and Bronco. After our 682 day journey, they are both ready for some attention.

For most of 2013, I’ve complained about the weather…too hot and humid or too cold. Now that I’m back in Murphys the weather is finally nice….although they had a hotter than usual summer here. Extended forecast is really nice for the next several days, so it’s time to get my outdoor work done on the motorhome and Bronco.

Yesterday’s chore was to complete cleaning of the outside storage compartments. That meant taking everything out of a storage compartment, vacuum out the dirt, take a rag soaked with soapy water and wash it out, dry with another rag, clean all contents and discard no longer used/needed items…

I also re-glued the compartment rubber sealing gaskets where they had come loose…

This activity now completes the outside cleaning of the motorhome with the exception of cleaning the solar panels up on the roof which I’ll do just prior to my departure in late November.

In other news…

Last evening Mary and I went out to dinner with her oldest son Ken and his wife, Laurie. It was a nice time. Prior to departure I had Laurie take an up-to-date photo for our new “business” cards which we hand out to people we meet in our travels. I’ll place the order soon….

One more little bit of information…Mary and I met on-line five years ago today. That was a neat happening!

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
