Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here
The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV Resort at La Connor, Washington. I’ll depart here August 23rd.
Yesterday Mary caught the 7:00 AM Albuquerque Airport Shuttle from Farmington, New Mexico. Here she is with her baggage. You cannot see that she is wearing a large backpack. I just chuckled at her load…all the stuff she had collected and bought in the last several weeks…
As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…
Shortly thereafter I fired up the motorhome to begin the about 130 mile drive to Heron Lake State Park. Along the way I passed though Dulce (in Spanish means sweet) Valley…
I made the trip in just four hours including being delayed about 30 minutes for road repair delays…
I’m pleased that I was able to make the drive without using the small pillow between my seat belt and right rib cage area. I’ve had to that while driving since the May 27th accident. I hope that’s a sign that I’m healing.
Upon arriving I found a nice large level site…
This is my view from the dinette window…
I’ve got a good Internet/cell phone signal and an electrical hookup so I can have air-conditioning (83 degrees yesterday)…so life is good!
In other news…
Mary got replaced by our bathroom door…kinda-sorta!
She used to help me in applying the elastic bandage around my chest that I’ve needed since the accident. But now that she’s gone, how am I going to properly apply the bandage? There’s an old saying…necessity is the mother of invention. I had Mary take these photos before she departed. The process now involves locking the end of the bandage in the bathroom door and “rolling” myself in to it…
I’m pleased to report that I had a good nights sleep and feeling good this morning. I’ve only got a five-day supply of my codeine-based pain medication left. After that I’ll be on just the Ibuprofen. I’m hoping by time I leave here (expecting that will be 14 days),..I’ll have gotten sufficient rest and recuperation that I’ll no longer have to wear the elastic bandage.
While here, I’m planning just to take life easy, get lots of rest and get out for some nice walks and photography.
TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE! MARY WROTE A MANY GREAT BLOGS…SO WHENEVER SHE PUBLISHED A BLOG POSTING THE SAME DAY THAT I DID…YOU WILL BE ABLE TO READ HER BLOG BY CLICKING THE BELOW LINK! DO IT NOW…!!!
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS.
Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
On October 27, 2012, I created a two-minute video titled America The Beautiful. The music America The Beautiful is by Christopher W. French.
