Time To Head In A Southerly Direction…

The motorhome is now parked at Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Resort along the bank of the Skykomish River in Monroe, Washington. I’ve been here a number of times over the past years and always enjoy it here. I’ll depart here later this morning.

I’m just hanging out taking maximum advantage of my Thousand Trails membership and very agreeable weather.

Mary’s personal to-do list plate, which can only be handled by herself, continues to over-flow. I’ll next likely see her when I arrive at her home in mid-October. A friend recently expressed a concern about the status of our relationship. Not to worry…it continues to function per our original agreement when we met in October, 2008. That is…I remain on the road and she will join me when her other life allows. We talk every day on the phone…sometimes more than once. It’s just the way life is!

Time to head in a southerly direction…
As the last week of September arrives…it’s time for me to go. This departure marks the end of a delightful, peaceful and relaxing summer in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. So, this morning I’ll point the motorhome south to begin my slow transition to southern California and Arizona where I will once again hide from the cold winter’s temperatures. My currently scheduled reservation for Thousand Trails Palm Springs RV Resort in California is December 2nd.

As I’ve said a number of times in the past…it’s a lousy job, but someone’s got to do it!  🙂

The below photos are of the last day here at Thousand Trails RV Resort along the Skykomish River…

Sunrise At Skykomish River – Monroe, Washington

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Resort along the bank of the Skykomish River in Monroe, Washington. I’ve been here a number of times over the past years and always enjoy it here. My scheduled departure date is July 20th.

Mary is dealing with her over-flowing to-do list plate which can only be handled by herself. The construction of Mary’s rental continues along…slowly. She now is hoping to rejoin me by early September.  😦

I’m an early to bed…early to rise kind of guy. Yesterday morning at around 5:30 AM, I noticed a morning mist hanging over the Skykomish River here at the RV park. So I grabbed my camera and went out to take a few photos. To get down to the river level I went via a rarely used boat launch ramp at the end of the road…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

Very early morning and very late afternoon frequently gives the best opportunity for some nice photos because of the severe side lighting as opposed to the direct overhead light of mid-day.
