Wimer To Sixes, Oregon

Yesterday I drove the motorhome 182 miles from Wimer to Sixes, Oregon. I’m parked in the yard of a friend whom I’ll tell you about soon. I’m planning to depart here on Monday. Now that I’ve arrived here, I’m planning to slow my pace and spend the rest of May and most of June along the Oregon Coast. Then into the State of Washington for the summer.

Mary is dealing with her over-flowing to-do list plate which can only be handled by herself. I’m hoping she will be able to rejoin me sometime after July 4th.

The first half of yesterday’s trip was mostly on U.S. Highway 199 also known as the Redwood Highway. Lots of twisting, winding and narrow roads over the mountains made photography impracticable while driving. The trip is unusual because from Oregon you have to go back into California for about one hour before crossing back into Oregon.

The second half of the trip was on U.S. Highway 101 along the southern coast of Oregon. Here are some of the photos I took along the way…

Today is Armed Forces Day. If you love your freedom…Thank a Vet!

Yesterday was cloudy and breezy with rain showers at 56 degrees. Today’s forecast is partly cloudy with spotty rain and 58 degrees. A little cool which I’d rather be than too hot!

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
