The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Lake Minden RV Resort in Nicolaus, California. I’m scheduled to depart here May 9th.

Since my RVing life is changing (see above), I’m starting to re-visit previously visited places. So rather than constantly re-blogging past entries, I’ve decided to do something different.

This entry was posted September 20, 2013…

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 47 miles from Newport to Airway Heights, Washington.

We continued traveling along U.S.Highway 2 West.

The traffic continued light along Highway 2.

Along the way we stopped in Spokane, Washington where Mary did some serious food shopping at her favorite grocery store, Winco Foods. In addition, I stopped at the Department of Licensing and renewed my Washington State Drivers License for another five years.

We spent the night behind VFW Post #3386 in Airway Heights, Washington…

Did you know that today is POW-MIA Recognition Day?

More than 83,000 American service members remain unaccounted for after serving in World War II, the Korea War, the Cold War, the Vietnam War and the Gulf War. If you love your freedom, thank a Vet!

Yesterday was a sunny day. High temperature for the day was 71 degrees.

Forecast high temperature for today is 80 degrees and sunny.

We’ll continue our westward travel later this morning.

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!

Rising Up Again and Again

Five Blog entries ago I told about my annual visit with my good friends, Horst and Margo Schneider here in Yuma, AZ. I also mentioned the most unusual lives they have lived, among which includes meeting in pre-World War II prior to Hitler, being a German POW who was shipped to the United States and eventually worked for U.S. Intelligence.

That and many other stories are described in his book which I just finished re-reading. Horst is a master story-teller and does a great job in his book…”Rising Up Again and Again”…with a sub-title of “How Life Can Be Fun If You Want It To Be”. To obtain your own copy of his 250 page book for only $15.95 + $4.00 S/H, go this his website at http://bookandpoems.com where you will also find other numerous short stories and poems he has written. You won’t be disappointed!

What an amazing couple. They’ve been together for 71 years and are still very much in love like a couple of teenagers! Don’t forget to go back five of my Blog entries to see their photo and read about my recent visit with them.
