The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Turtle Beach RV Resort in Manteca, California. I’m scheduled to depart here April 17th.

This is the eighth video which I guess is becoming a series about how politicians are destroying our beautiful country… in this case… isms…

Just for the record… I do not purposefully hunt these types of videos. They randomly present themselves as I watch general YouTube videos while eating my breakfast.

If you agree with this message, I encourage you to share it with your friends.

I hope you enjoyed the video.

Forecast for today is light rain and 64 degrees.

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!

On October 27, 2012, I created a two-minute video titled America The Beautiful. The music America The Beautiful is by Christopher W. French. The photos, which I randomly selected, are from the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Tennessee, Washington and West Virginia (not shown in that order)…are mine. Yup, That’s me standing in front of the Post Office in Luckenbach, Texas…Y’all!

Last time I was in Venice Beach (many years ago), I remember it as a beautiful place.

Apparently no longer so. This report was published one month ago.

Here’s another example of how politicians are ruining our beautiful country…

I hope you enjoyed the video.

Forecast for today is mostly cloudy and 67 degrees.

The motorhome is parked at Shady Acres RV Park in Yuma, Arizona. I may be here until March 4th.

I stumbled across this video yesterday. This report was published only five days ago.

Yes, this is normally a blog about my travels. But, while I did not create this video, I’ve been to all the cities mentioned it. I remember them as beautiful places. Apparently no longer so.

The title speaks for itself…

The World seems to have gone crazy.

It’s no wonder I no longer go to these places.

What else is there to say????

If you find this video saddens you as it did myself, I hope you will forward it to your friends who might feel the same way.

Inauguration Day – 2017

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at the Paradise Casino in Yuma, Arizona. I was expecting to leave here recently, but I’ve changed my mind. I currently have reservations at Thousand Trails in Palm Desert, California, February 13th. Between now and then???? For the moment I remain in Yuma.

I just love the ability to change plans at a moments notice. As I tell everyone…All my plans are firmly etched in Jello!

Today’s subject: Inauguration Day – 2017

Today is a most unique day in United States history.

A total of 23 (6 Democrats and 17 Republicans) people formally entered the 2017 presidential race. Like any race (other than a dead tie), there can only be one winner. The winner of this particular race was Donald J. Trump, who today will become the 45th President of the United States.

(N.Y. Times photo)

In a few short hours, to become the President, he will take a solemn oath with his hand on a bible and say the following words…

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

The words “So help me God” appear optional…

To read the very interesting history of the oath, click this link…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oath_of_office_of_the_President_of_the_United_States

It will be interesting to observe if Donald J. Trump elects this option. Regardless of whether he chooses this option or not, here’s hoping he truly believes these words and will act accordingly.

I have traveled extensively in the United States and for years have been telling people I meet…“We live in such a beautifully scenic country, it is really a shame what politicians have done to it!” I, for one, am ready to give a businessman like Donald Trump a chance to see if he can do a better job!

One of our most beautiful patriotic songs is America, The Beautiful. It is also the music in my two-minute travel video, which I created in 2012, of my RV travels in the United States. If you’ve not seen it, here it is…

The music America The Beautiful is by Christopher W. French. I hope you enjoyed today’s subject.

Yesterday was mostly cloudy and 67 degrees. Forecast for today is mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower and 64 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

APOLITICAL APHORISMS

As requests for money increase in fury, and the political scene explodes before our eyes, I thought these Apolitical aphorisms would be a bit of fun. Especially fun for me since I discovered yesterday, I’ve been the victim of on-line fraud. More on that as I sort through several critical projects. The aphorisms were sent to me in an email and have been around for a longtime. Hope you enjoy them.

If God wanted us to vote, he would have given us candidates.

~Jay Leno~

The problem with political jokes is they get elected.

~Henry Cate, VII~

We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.

~Aesop~

If we got one-tenth of what was promised to us in these Electionspeeches, there wouldn’t be any inducement to go to heaven.

~Will Rogers~

Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build a bridge even where there is no river.

~Nikita Khrushchev~

When I was a boy I was told that anybody could become Prime Minister or Premier; I’m beginning to believe it.

~Clarence Darrow~

Why pay money to have your family tree traced; go into politics and your opponents will do it for you.

~Author unknown~

Politicians are people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel.

~John Quinton~

Politics is the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich, by promising to protect each from the other.

~Oscar Ameringer~

I offer my opponents a bargain: if they will stop telling lies about us, I will stop telling the truth about them.

~Adlai Stevenson, campaign speech, 1952~

A politician is a fellow who will lay down your life for his country.

~ Tex Guinan~

I have come to the conclusion that politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians.

~Charles de Gaulle~

Instead of giving a politician the keys to the city, it might be better to change the locks.

~Doug Larson~

There ought to be one day — just one — when there is open season on senators.

~Will Rogers~

CONGRESS CRITTERS

Congress Critters from both parties work against what is best for the 99% of working people who just want to raise their families, have a decent job,  and get a bit of fun out of life. I side with the party who champions working people most. But this came in my mail:

Democrats who shill for corporations at the expense of their constituents.  We must let them know we are watching and won’t forget when it comes time for re-election.  I’m disgusted that I sent money to five of the people on this list and I’ve let it be known I won’t send another dollar.  That is a Republican bill trying to gut the DODD-FRANK protections from another Wall Street melt down.(It didn’t pass, by the way.)

The second one is the Keystone Pipeline. The Governor of North Dakota keeps touting the jobs it will bring, some say exaggerated numbers, but no mention is made about the town flooded with oil from a pipeline leak that ruined their wells and made them evacuate their homes and businesses. Leaks, we are told, happen all the time in these pipelines.  Gas is at its cheapest in years and we don’t need that pipeline. It is an environmental disaster as we get cleaner and cleaner energy.

KeystoneDoddFrank

I can’t say they are ALL TOTALLY bad, but it needs watching.

And, since I’m on the subject of congress critters, I should apologize for this, but these people are holding public office. All are newly elected Republicans for 2015.

20140106_new_congress_v3_03 (Copy)20140106_new_congress_v3_06 (Copy)There are a lot of good Republicans out there, but, are there so few good ones around they vote in people so out of touch with reality?

My information came from Daily KOS.

Well, I’ve had my rant for the day. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have something more positive on my mind.
