TWISTED FAMILY VALUES

Ca3AGdJWEAAAPEI

Before he died, Thomas Trump let loose about his nephew, “The Donald.”

I looked into the family Trump on-line and learned that Donald’s brother, Fred, chose not to be in the very rich family business and became a pilot instead. He also became an alcoholic and died of his alcoholism.  Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump Sr., cut his son, Fred Trump Jr., out of the will on the grounds that the man was an alcoholic. This was done at the instigation of his other son, Donald. Fred junior’s children took the issue to court to contest the will. At which point, the Tyrant Trump, the adulterer, racist, misogynist, isolationist, preacher of hate, showed his true family values.  One of Fred Jr.’s children, a young boy with cerebral palsy, suffered from seizures. Trump had been paying for the child’s treatment. Once the will was contested, Donald decided that he wouldn’t pay for the boy’s medical care anymore. Such a nice guy.

If Trump has absolutely no scruples about screwing his own family over for money, including a  sick little boy, he also shows that he will have no remorse about destroying the lives, families and children of others if he becomes president. Especially if they’re unworthy like Hispanics, Muslims, low women or ordinary blue-collar American workers. For all his bucks, I didn’t see any philanthropy in Donald’s business.  Too bad he didn’t equate himself with his Uncle Thomas, the Carnegies, the Standfords, Bill Gates and other men of wealth who were thankful for the opportunities offered by a great nation.  I guess he doesn’t believe in true American values.

I Visit With Good Friends Bud Kuball And Julie Paradise…

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. I’ll depart later this morning.

Mary continues to be occupied with personal business. I am now not expecting to see her again until I arrive at her home in Murphys, California about the third week in April. It’s just the way things are and we just have to deal with it.

Yesterday I visited with my good friends…Bud Kuball and Julie Paradise who live here in Las Vegas.

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

I first met Bud Kuball in December, 2003 in Gila Bend, AZ where we had gathered to begin our 343 day, 16,000+ mile RV trip through Mexico and the seven countries of Central America. As things turned out Bud was the only person with his motorhome, beside myself, to go the full preplanned route and schedule. We returned to the United States at Douglas, AZ on December 9, 2004. Earlier in life Bud was a fighter pilot in the U.S. Navy. After leaving the service, he was a pilot for Trans-World Airlines for 36 years. Bud has lived in Las Vegas since 1982. Bud is now 85 years old and yesterday he went skiing! What a guy!

I first met Julie when she flew into Cancun, Mexico to join Bud for a visit. During the course of our journey, Julie flew down to visit Bud several times. In her earlier life Julie was a flight attendant for Trans-World Airlines for 40 years. In my Panama or Bust book there is a full-page photo of Julie dancing on a bar in Leon, Mexico… and here it is…

We enjoyed a nice three-hour visit during which they  treated me to a nice meal at the Outback Steak House.

Both of these fine people have become good friends despite the fact we seldom get to see each other. I was last in Las Vegas in January, 2011.

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS.

Yesterday was a sunny and 74 degrees. Forecast for today is sunny and 76 degrees.

The red dot on the below map shows our approximate location in the State of Nevada. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!

BUD AND JULIE, FUN FRIENDS IN VEGAS

Bud Kuball, a Korean War fighter pilot, and a retired career pilot for TWA, traveled to the Panama Canal and back in his motor home with Jim in 2004. Julie flew back and forth to join them several times during that 343 day trip, but not for lack of an adventurous spirit. Julie had some health problems at the time and couldn’t stay for long periods on the rough roads.
We joined them for cocktails and conversation for an afternoon with other friends of their’s and didn’t even think about taking pictures until just before time to leave. Julie, who weighs 96 pounds, is small and mighty. She likes to direct things. “No, you can’t take the picture THAT way. We have to pose.”

No, Jim, not like that…

Like this:

Bud, at 82, likes to ski and write. He publishes pieces for the TWA magazine about his world adventures, which are many. He sends them to Jim where ever he is on the road.

Their adventures in Panama have been captured in Jim’s book, which is available at: http://www.lulu.com/panamaorbust
