The motorhome is parked in Thousand Trails RV Resort in Seaside, Oregon. I’m scheduled to depart here June 2nd.

Since my RVing life is changing (see above), I’m starting to re-visit previously visited places. So rather than constantly re-blogging past entries, I’ve decided to do something different.

This entry was posted September 30, 2013…

The motorhome is currently parked at Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Resort in Monroe, Washington.

Yesterday the day started with some light rain. The Snohomish River level has risen noticeably from the last few days of rain…

Despite the rain, my friend and mechanic called and said let’s get the tune-up on your Bronco done. We lucked out that the heavy rains came later in the day after we had finished…

The weather is supposed to clear starting on Thursday. I’m planning to leave here despite the forecast for rain showers on Wednesday. My current location is noted by the yellow dot…

It was chilly yesterday with the rain. High temperature was only 57 degrees.

Last night I watched another movie from the 1930’s. This time it was 1933 – Dracula starring Bela Lagosi. A classic!

The motorhome is Parked at Eagles Club #506 in SanBernardino, California. I’ll depart here later this morning.
In yesterday’s blog I identified that I was in this area to get my dinette bottom refurbished with high density foam. The job was finished at 2PM and I got a call they were ready to be picked up. They did a nice job and now I have a nice firm butt support!   🙂
While I was in the area, I noticed only a short block away, signs indicating this was the site of the Original McDonald’s. Now while I do not eat at McDonald’s, I took a moment to take a few photos of this historic location. Only part of the sign remains from the original structure.
You can read about this historic location by clicking this link…
Here are the photos that I took…

Forecast for today’s destination is partly sunny and 48 degrees. Wowzer! Unusual weather system passing through the area!

Graceland – Memphis, Tennessee

The motorhome is currently parked at Mary’s home in Murphys, California. My current departure date is scheduled for December 1st.

During this time I’ll be attending to my cataract surgery, cleaning, routine maintenance and minor repairs to the motorhome and Bronco in addition to assisting Mary with her activities. None of these items are particularly exciting to write about…so…instead I’ll be showing Picasa Web Albums from our 682 day, 2011-2013 circumnavigation of the United States. It was Mary’s second circumnavigation and the sixth for myself.

Unless we do something unusual, this Blog will feature a photo album from the circumnavigation and will change daily. So come back tomorrow.

To read about today’s photo album location, click this link…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graceland

CLICK ON THE BELOW PHOTO. ONCE YOU ARRIVE AT THE PHOTO ALBUM, SIMPLY CLICK “SLIDESHOW” AND ENJOY!

Yesterday was a sunny day and 88 degrees. Forecast for today is sunny and 94 degrees. YUK!

Bakersfield, California

Yesterday I drove the motorhome 115 miles from Acton to Bakersfield, California. I parked overnight at Moose lodge #2178. I’ll depart later this morning.

Mary is at home tending to personal matters. I expect to arrive there tomorrow.

I’ve had a change of plans. Instead of drifting along the central California coast this Spring, I’m headed to Mary’s home. Last September during my eye exam at the Seattle, Washington VA Hospital I was told I have a large cataract in my right eye that should be attended to in the next year. It’s always been difficult getting to that VA Hospital, so I’ve made arrangements to change to a local VA Clinic in Sonora, California…about 25 miles from Mary’s home. My appointment to meet my new primary care doctor is on March 7th who will make the necessary arrangements to have my eye problem corrected.

Along the way yesterday, I passed through Mojave, California. When Mary and I passed through Mojave three years ago, we experienced the big blow! In the distance of 1/2 mile…three 18-wheelers were on their sides. You can read about that experience by clicking this link… http://wp.me/pDCku-1hV
