After Being Evicted, I’m At My New Location…

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,500+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 23rd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

In yesterday’s blog entry, I described how I and about 100 other RV’s, were given 48 Hour Notice to vacate from the parking lot of the Paradise Casino.

So, yesterday I drove the motorhome and towed Ford Bronco II, five miles to my new location.

I’m now parked (dry camping means ho hookups) behind my home American Legion Post #19 in Yuma, Arizona.

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

There’s a large parking area that can hold about a dozen-plus  RV;s. right now including myself there are six and I know a couple of the people here…

As usual, the dinette photo window…

While located near the center of the city, the location is still relatively quiet and convenient to all sopping needs.

The parking is free for legion members. But as always, I’ll give them a nice donation for the convenience of allowing me to stay here.

Other benefits include warmer night-time temperatures by about five degrees and a much better Internet signal.

I expect to be here quite a while.

I hope you enjoyed the photos.

Forecast for today is sunny and 72 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Two Unusual Things Happened Yesterday…

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,500+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

The motorhome is parked at the Paradise Casino in Yuma, Arizona. I had expected to be here for a while. See below…

In the land of perpetual sunshine, yesterday morning was mostly cloudy with wind gusts of 30-40 miles per hour with lots of blowing sand. And, in the afternoon we actually had a couple of hours of RAIN!!!

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

Even a little rain must fall in Eden.

During a pause in the rain, we (about 100 RV;s) got eviction notices!!!

The fine print says if we got a players card and spent an undisclosed amount of money playing slots and bingo, we might be allowed to stay. Not being a gambler, I’ll move on later this morning. It’s been nice while it lasted.  Fortunately, I have alternatives:)

Tomorrow I’ll tell you about my new parking location.

I hope you enjoyed the photos.

Forecast for today is sunny and 70 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Imperial Sand Dunes And The Historic Plank Road

The motorhome is parked at the Paradise Casino in Yuma, Arizona. I expect to depart here January 10th.

Back across the border into California, about 15 miles West of Yuma are the Imperial Sand Dunes, aka Algodones Dunes, which run about 45 miles long. The Historic Plank Road ran across these dunes before paved roads…

Sunset At St. Thomas Indian Mission – Winterhaven, California

The motorhome is now parked at the Paradise Casino in Winterhaven, California. I’m here with my friend Randy Vining and others…hanging out and enjoying the nice weather.

Mary is spending the holidays with her family and is now expecting to rejoin me here in late January.

A couple of evenings ago I walked the less than 1/2 mile to the St. Thomas Indian Mission at sunset. Here are some of the photos that I took…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

The sunset silhouette caught my attention…
