This is the sixth video which I guess is becoming a series about how politicians are destroying our beautiful country… in this case…big government.

One of the great things of being older like myself, is many years ago I got to listen on the radio to a very astute radio host… Paul Harvey. He had a very deliberate voice and an intriguing delivery style which really held your attention. He called his program… The Rest Of the Story. His messages were usually thought-provoking. I remember enjoying them greatly.

If you do not know or forget who Paul Harvey was… here’s a Wikipedia link to help you understand… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Harvey

In 1965 he warned us what would happen to our beautiful country if we continue on the same downhill path… once again, very thought-provoking.

Please remember his message was recorded 54 years ago and in my humble opinion, I believe we have been on a very downhill slippery slope for about the last 100 years. It’s truly sad to witness the decaying of our beautiful country.

Here’s the video presentation…

If you agree with this message, I encourage you to share it with your friends.

I hope you enjoyed the video.

Forecast for today is sunny and 74 degrees.

This entry was posted September 4, 2013…

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 117 miles from Crookston, Minnesota to Devils Lake, North Dakota.

We continued traveling along U.S.Highway 2 West.

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

Highway 2 traffic continues to be light…

DSC05702

Places like these are seen occasionally along the way…

DSC05701

Just east of Devils Lake we gassed up and I saw my first flex-fuel pump…

DSC05704

Here’s a closer look at the five fuel selections that are available…

DSC05705

At this same station we propaned-up for only $1.39 a gallon. It’s been a long time since I’ve run across propane so reasonably priced!

I have a good friend named Randy Vining. He didn’t tell me he owns an oil company…  🙂

DSC05706

I do not want to call Devils Lake an unattractive place…I’ll simply say I cannot understand why anyone would knowingly live here.

The Elks Club was closed, so we swung by the VFW which has a very small parking lot, so we parked on railroad property across the street…

DSC05707

Mary wanted to visit the only museum in town…the old Post Office Museum, which we got to by walking a portion of the two blocks away in this alley…

DSC05708

The museum was a guided tour which I found very boring. Anything worth photographing was either under glass or shiny plastic making for difficult reflections. The heat and humidity were too much for me, so I left Mary to complete her tour of the museum and I retreated to the VFW air-conditioned lounge for a couple of cold Miller Lites. Mary finally joined me. We decided the better place to park for the night was back at the Elks Club.

Upon arrival there we found out the Elks Club is not open on Tuesday. The nice folks at the next door Nite Owl Lounge told us we could park there for the night and even provided us with an electrical outlet so we could run our air-conditioning without having to run our generator…

DSC05713

While the motorhome cooled down, we went into the Nite Owl lounge for about an hour for a couple more cold ones. We had a nice conversation with the owner Mary Lou.

Here’s the usual dinette window photo…

Not everyplace we visit is a Shangrila!

Yesterday was a lousy weather day. 87 degrees with high humidity. Today’s forecast is for 79 degrees. Next two-day forecast is 92 and 94 degrees. YUKKITTY!

We’ll continue our westward travel later this morning.

Enjoying electrical plug-ins so we can have air-conditioning on a hot day is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

This is the fifth video which I guess is becoming a series about how politicians are destroying our beautiful country..

In past blogs I’ve centered on California, but I stumbled across this one just yesterday and it was dated March 14, 2019. When main stream media elects to identify this kind of a situation It must really be bad. KOMO is a long-time TV station in Seattle…

Watch for yourself and draw your own conclusions. If you cannot spare a whole hour, after the first few minutes you will get the drift. Early in this video it is identified that second only to San Francisco, Seattle leads the nation in crime.

Someone once said… “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Today’s politicians either do not get it or just do not care. You choose. If political outlooks remain the same as the last few years… things will only get worse as the United States continues on it’s downhill journey…

If you agree with this message, I encourage you to share it with your friends.

Despite the disparaging message…

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV Resort in Palm Desert, California. I’m scheduled to depart here March 26th.

This is the fourth video which I guess is becoming a series about how politicians are destroying our beautiful country.

In this case politicians who advocate open borders which allow what will become millions of undocumented aliens into our country can only have disastrous results to our beautiful country…

Despite the daunting message…

I hope you enjoyed the video.

Forecast for today is sunny and 85 degrees.

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
