The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Lake Minden RV Resort in Nicolaus, California. I’m scheduled to depart here May 9th.

Since my RVing life is changing (see above), I’m starting to re-visit previously visited places. So rather than constantly re-blogging past entries, I’ve decided to do something different.

This entry was posted September 25, 2013…

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 90 miles from Leavenworth to Monroe, Washington.

We continued traveling along U.S.Highway 2 West.

Shortly after our arrival, my good friend for 62 years, Al Penta who lives about one mile away, stopped by for a visit. We spent an enjoyable two hours catching up on the happenings of the last two years since we were last here…

Mary has pressing business awaiting at her home in California. Tomorrow I’ll drive her in the Bronco to SeaTac Airport where she’ll catch a fight home. After dropping her off, I’ll go to the Seattle VA Hospital for an eye exam and my annual physical…which I missed last year. I’ll remain here for a few more days having some work done on the Bronco and hopefully the motorhome by my friend and mechanic, Kenny. Once the work is completed, I’ll head for Mary’s home in California.

Yesterday was a cloudy and cold day with some showers. High temperature for the day was 57.

Forecast high temperature for today is 61 degrees and sunny with a shower.

The motorhome is parked at Shady Acres RV Park in Yuma, Arizona. I may be here until March 4th.

Since my RVing life is changing (see above), I’m starting to re-visit previously visited places. So rather than constantly re-blogging past entries, I’ve decided to do something different.

This entry was posted August 17, 2013…

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 132 miles from Grosse Ile to Flint, Michigan.

In yesterday’s Blog entry I discussed an electrical problem I was having keeping the Bronco battery charged while driving down the highway. After further consideration I decided not to take it to an electrical shop because I’ve experienced occasional problems with a connector in the past…usually rectified by jiggling it. So, first stop yesterday was at an auto parts store where I bought a new connector. It’s kind of pain in the butt type of job, so I’ll replace it when the moment is right.

Second stop of the day was at America’s Discount Tires where I had the tires rotated and balanced on the Bronco. They accommodated me by doing the job without my having to unhook the Bronco from the motorhome…

Third stop of the day was to have an oil change done on the motorhome.

Fourth stop of the day was in Fraser to meet with an old friend Ray Ferullo whom I had not seen since I was 17 years old. We enjoyed a nice reunion at an Outback Steakhouse…

It’s Been A Long Time Since I’ve Done This…

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Palm Springs RV Resort in Palm Desert, California. I’m scheduled to depart here December 23rd.

Parked across the street from me in Thousand Trails is a friend I’ve not seen in about 10 years. We belonged to the same singles RV club…and she prefers I not use her name on the Internet. I’ll simply tell you she has been a full-time RVer for 17 years and will be 83 in a couple of months. Despite getting along in years, she is full of life and talks to everyone who crosses her path.

We got to chatting about my 40+ years of photography and the next thing we knew…we ended up taking photos of her for her family.

I created a make-shift photo studio using the north light through the dinette window in her RV. While being poor photo conditions at best and the fact I’ve not done portrait-style photography in about 35 years…the photos did not turn out all that bad. I shot the hair-down and then hair-up photos in black and white…appropriate for older-aged subjects.

It was fun to do something different from my normal photography modes and below you can see the two photos she selected for her family. We had prints made at the local Walgreen’s photo shop…

We continued traveling along U.S.Highway 2 West.
