The Lighthouse At Pensacola, Florida

Jim says: Before heading to the lighthouse, I had a busy morning…
First a trip to Napa Auto Parts….
Back at the motorhome, I…
Topped of the air pressure in all 10 tires…
Installed two new relays for the electric door-lock open/close in the Bronco…
Installed the new heater core in the Bronco. That took care of the morning.

Then I drove the about seven miles to the Pensacola Lighthouse at the Naval Air Station. It’s been there since 1859 and yes, I climbed all 177 steps of the 150 foot tall lighthouse that can be seen from 27 miles at sea. There is also a museum depicting the history of the lighthouse.

The lighthouse is directly across the road from the Naval Air Museum. I went through the museum in 1997 in one day, which at that time I decided that one day cannot do this museum justice and vowed to return one day. That one day is now here! I’ll start today and expect to take 2-3 days…but this time I will do it justice!
