The Saddest Thing About Growing Older…

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 5,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 23rd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV Resort in La Conner, Washington. I’ll depart here September 10th..

is losing all your friends.

Two days ago, I found out my good friend Colorado passed away about two weeks ago. He was found by a neighbor sitting in his chair alongside his motorhome. I spoke with him by phone only about a month ago and he mentioned no particular problems.

Although I had only known him two years, he had become my primary hang around with buddy in Yuma.

Here’s a link to a blog posting I wrote about him in 2017…

He was 77 years old. Same age as myself. Hmmm…

Rest in peace, amigo! I’ll miss you.  😦

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS.

Forecast for today is mostly cloudy and 66 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Willie Nelson Or Merle Haggard????

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at the Paradise Casino in Yuma, Arizona. I was expecting to leave here recently, but I’ve changed my mind. I currently have reservations at Thousand Trails in Palm Desert, California, February 13th. Between now and then???? For the moment I remain in Yuma.

I just love the ability to change plans at a moments notice. As I tell everyone…All my plans are firmly etched in Jello!

Today’s subject: Willie Nelson or Merle Haggard????

My favorite hangout here in Yuma is American Legion Post #19 where I get to visit with ex-military friends. About one month ago I met a guy who everyone calls Colorado. I still do not know his real name. As we became better friends, I remarked to him on one side of his face he looks like Willie Nelson and on the other side of his face, Merle Haggard. He consented to let me take his photo(s) yesterday.

Considering it has been many years since I’ve done portrait-type photography, plus no studio lights, plus shooting outside mid-day (the worst time to do photography), I think they turned out just fine.

So, what do you think? Is it Willie Nelson ir Merle Haggard?

Ramblin’ Fever…The Kind That Can’t Be Measured In Degrees!

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Long Beach RV Resort in Seaview, Washington. My scheduled departure date is June 17th.

Mary is at home tending to personal matters…home maintenance, family, friends, rentals, etc.. She is now scheduled to meet me July 29th in Bellingham, Washington

In yesterday’s Blog posting I mentioned that my old cell phone was in its eighth year of service. It got me thinking about how long I’ve been blogging and how many Blog postings I have accumulated.

So I looked back into my archives and found that I have been blogging since April of 2006 and have published 2,972 Blog postings. With the exception of a couple of days when I was so far out in the boondocks that I could not raise an Internet signal, I have published a Blog posting every day.

Can you imagine how many places I have been and how many people I have met in 19 years as a full-time RVer and a part-time RVer since 1964? Even I cannot do it, and I lived it! As a matter of fact, I find that I can only remember only a very few events in the last 19 years. For the most part it is simply a very pleasant blur!

Variety is the spice of life! I’m so happy I’m a Ramblin’ Man!

As a special favor to me. here’s Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson singing my theme song…Ramblin’ Fever…

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE CONCERT!

Yesterday was a cloudy/sunny day at 62 degrees. Forecast for today is sunny and 60 degrees.
