Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 5,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.

The motorhome is parked at Shady Acres RV Park in Yuma, Arizona. I may be here until March 4th.
Since my RVing life is changing (see above), I’m starting to re-visit previously visited places. So rather than constantly re-blogging past entries, I’ve decided to do something different.
Yesterday I drove the motorhome the about 50 miles from Sturbridge to Sudbury, Massachusetts. It is parked at American Legion Post #191. I plan to leave here on Wednesday.
Mary is back at her home in California tending to some personal business. She has made her plane reservations and will fly to meet me in Boston, Massachusetts on July 30th.
The heat wave is supposed to be over but you cannot prove it by me. Yesterday was 89 degrees in the shade with 50% humidity. It reached 95 degrees inside the motorhome yesterday afternoon.
As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

This American Legion Post is located on a famous road..the Old Boston Post Road which you can read about by clicking this Wikipedia link… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_Post_Road
About one mile to the west is another famous place…Longfellow’s Wayside Inn. The oldest inn in the United States has been in continuous operation since 1716. It started as a two-room house in the early 1700’s. The pub has been in operation for almost 300 years and a 150 yard stretch of the original old Boston Post Road passes by the front step of the inn.
It was here in 1860 that Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote a series of poems entitled Tales of a Wayside Inn. Among those poems was…The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere. Here are some of the photos that I took…
The inscription on this marker reads…
Washington passed this place on his way to Cambridge to take command of the Patriot Army. June 1775 July. Erected by Old Essex Chapter S.A.R. Lynn, Mass.
And atop that marker…
I would have liked to have explored the grounds more, but the heat was so intense I just had to quit.
