Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 5,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.

I’m currently in my 24th year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV resort in Palm desert, California. I’m scheduled to depart here March 19th.
Since my RVing life is changing (see above), I’m starting to re-visit previously visited places. So rather than constantly re-blogging past entries, I’ve decided to do something different.
Yesterday I drove the motorhome the about 65 miles from Iron Mountain to Iron River, Michigan.
Also yesterday, after messing with me for about two weeks with an electrical connection problem between the motorhome and the Bronco, the Gods finally smiled on me…twice!
First the 7 to 6 round adapter I use on the umbilical cord between the motorhome and the Bronco remained in my life. The day before yesterday while leaving the repair shop, I accidentally left it on the rear bumper of the motorhome and drove the two miles to park at the Elks Club. During the middle of the night it popped into my head what I had done? It was raining so hard, I waited until morning to go see if it was still there. It was! Had it fallen off, it would have cost about $35 dollars to replace, but most likely there would not be one to be had in the small town of Iron Mountain. This is the critter I’m talking about…

Secondly, the previous day the repair technician told me it would be 24-48 hours to effect the repairs. Much to my pleasant surprise, at 9:15 AM yesterday morning he called, telling me he had stayed late the previous evening and that the repairs were complete. Shortly thereafter we arrived at the repair shop…
Where he completed the installation of the components…
By 11:00 AM and a cost of $132.80 we were finally back on the road again. It feels really good to have everything working properly again. Thanks for the great service, Tony!
As soon as I had paid the bill and walked back to the motorhome it started to rain hard for about an hour…
First stop was a few miles away to see where Mary’s grandmother had once operated a store. Then we where on our way.
We passed through the pretty little Village of Sagola where Mary’s family had lived when she was really young. You can read about Sagola by clicking this Wikipedia link… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagola_Township,_Michigan
Here are some of the photos I took there…
The Public School…
Grace Presbyterian Church which played beautiful bell music for one-half hour while we ate lunch…
The short two-block long main drag…
A moss-covered tree had pretty coloring…
Mary says goodbye to Sagola. It was one of the prettiest little villages we have ever visited…
We hooked back up on to U.S. Highway 2 West where the main industries appear to be logging and potato farming…
Arriving at Iron River we went to VFW Post #3134 which has no parking lot, so we parked on the secondary street…
Here’s the usual dinette window photo…
Yesterday was another horrendous weather day…88 degrees with high humidity. Another scorcher is forecast for today.. 84 degrees with a real feel of 88. At 5:00 AM this morning it was 69 degrees with 74% humidity. Good temperature…lousy humidity. YUK!
Sagola was the last place we will go seeking Mary’s past life in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It’s been an interesting ten days and Mary really enjoyed investigating the places in her early life. We’ll continue our westward journey later this morning.
Enjoying friendly VFW Posts is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

I hope you enjoyed the photos.
Forecast for today is mostly sunny and 67 degrees.
Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
