Glasgow, Montana

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 97 miles from Culbertson to Glasgow, Montana.

We continued traveling along U.S.Highway 2 West.

With less than a mile behind us, we ran into a major road rebuilding of Highway 2 that ran about 10 miles…

This is a frequent sight along Highway 2 which for many miles runs along side of the railroad tracks of the Great Northern Railway that runs from Seattle, Washington to Chicago, Illinois. The tracks are just to the left of this grain storage facility…

Arriving in Glasgow, we stopped at the Pioneer Museum. Here are some of the photos that I took…

Yesterday was a lousy weather day. 81 degrees with high humidity, high winds and a couple of thunderstorms. Today’s forecast is for 96 degrees with a real feel of 100 degrees! YUCKKITTY! Tomorrow is forecast 94 degrees.

We’ll continue our westward travel later this morning.

Enjoying friendly VFW Posts is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!

Hamilton, Illinois

Jim says:

Yesterday Mary and I drove the motorhome about 250 miles to Hamilton, Illinois which is about two miles from the Mississippi River before crossing into Missouri. We spent the night in a VFW parking lot.

Picture

For only the second time on the trip Mary drove the motorhome yesterday about 150 miles. Now that we have left the densely populated east coast and traffic is lighter, it’s time for Mary to get accustomed to driving the motorhome.

Along the way we saw lots of corn!

Mary has decided that unless there is something unique/special to stop and see, she’d just as soon we continue on our way to her home in Murphys, California where she has lots of stuff needing her attention.
