The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Lake Minden RV Resort in Nicolaus, California. I’m scheduled to depart here May 9th.

Since my RVing life is changing (see above), I’m starting to re-visit previously visited places. So rather than constantly re-blogging past entries, I’ve decided to do something different.

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 90 miles from Leavenworth to Monroe, Washington.

We continued traveling along U.S.Highway 2 West.

Here are some of the photos that I took along the way…

Shortly after our arrival, my good friend for 62 years, Al Penta who lives about one mile away, stopped by for a visit. We spent an enjoyable two hours catching up on the happenings of the last two years since we were last here…

Mary has pressing business awaiting at her home in California. Tomorrow I’ll drive her in the Bronco to SeaTac Airport where she’ll catch a fight home. After dropping her off, I’ll go to the Seattle VA Hospital for an eye exam and my annual physical…which I missed last year. I’ll remain here for a few more days having some work done on the Bronco and hopefully the motorhome by my friend and mechanic, Kenny. Once the work is completed, I’ll head for Mary’s home in California.

Yesterday was a cloudy and cold day with some showers. High temperature for the day was 57.

Forecast high temperature for today is 61 degrees and sunny with a shower.

We went to Bryan’s Automotive Service where, with the help of proper testing equipment, he corrected the previous guys two wiring errors on the umbilical cord from the motorhome to the Bronco. I checked twice to make sure everything is working properly this time…including the charging of the Bronco battery. One hour and $85 later we were on the road again…

About three weeks ago I identified I was having a problem with a dead battery in my towed Ford Bronco II. About two weeks ago I reported the problem had been fixed. Yesterday morning I discovered the Bronco battery was once again dead. The problem remains. While Mary did laundry yesterday I spent a couple of hours in the hot, broiling sun attempting to fix the problem. Almost, but not quite. Once again, beyond my expertise. I have a 10:00 AM appointment with a shop about 45 miles further down the road. Chester is a very small town with no auto electric repair services. While aggravating, on the road problems are usually resolved with some time and money. Fortunately, We have both.

This is a frequent sight along Highway 2 which for many miles runs along side of the railroad tracks of the Great Northern Railway that runs from Seattle, Washington to Chicago, Illinois. The tracks are just to the left of this grain storage facility…

Yesterday was a lousy weather day. 81 degrees with high humidity, high winds and a couple of thunderstorms. Today’s forecast is for 96 degrees with a real feel of 100 degrees! YUCKKITTY! Tomorrow is forecast 94 degrees.

We’ll continue our westward travel later this morning.
