Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 65 miles from Lake Cushman near Hoodsport to Fort Worden Sate Park at Port Townsend, Washington. We will depart here on Friday.
I’ve been to this beautiful place a few times over the years and always enjoy returning. The movie Officer and a Gentleman was filmed here in 1982 literally within a few feet of our current campsite. This is such a popular place, the campsites fetch $50 a night for full hookup. My Washington State Senior Citizen Card got us in for $25 a night. The below Google Earth images show our location…

Here’s our campsite…
And the usual dinette window photo…
After setting up upon our arrival yesterday, we started out for a walk but rain forced a retreat back to the motorhome. I got this one photo before retreating…
Later in the afternoon the rain stopped, so after our evening meal…out for another walk. The 62 degree temperature along with some wind put the wind-chill temperatures into the mid-50’s. Too much for a California girl…
We started our walk along the northern shore where I took this 180 degree photo of the Strait de Juan Fuca…
Looking west at the strait towards the Pacific Ocean…
What’s she taking a picture of???
At the tip of land we came to the Point Wilson lighthouse. My photo is in the watercolor mode…
Looking to the east we saw a passing Washington State Ferry…
A view of the lighthouse from the south…
We stopped to say hello to Levi who has two beautiful blue eyes…
About 7:30 PM we had about an hour of heavy rain and 35-50 mile per hour winds. During that time I took this photo through our dinette window…

We are approaching our recycle time for our Internet signal and getting near to the end of our available gigabytes, so I’ve had to limit the number of photos shown. You will get to see the others later.
We plan on exploring Port Townsend today.
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS.
Yesterday was a cloudy/sunny/rainy day at 62 degrees. Forecast for today is cloudy/sunny and 64 degrees.
Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!
