Manteca To Bakersfield, California

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,500+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 21st year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at Moose Club #2178 in Bakersfield, California.

Yesterday, I drove the 232 miles from Manteca to Bakersfield, California with no problems. I hope when President Trump Makes America Great Again, he can arrange to repave U.S. Highway 99! Despite my new shocks, it’s a bone-jarring ride in many places!

Arriving in Bakersfield I parked at Moose Club #2178. I have parked here on my way south for a number of years. Nice electric hookup here allows me to use my electric heater to ward off the nighttime chill.

It’s a very active and friendly club and I always enjoy a great Taco Tuesday. I enjoyed a large and tasty taco salad for 0nly $3 along with some nice conversations…

I hope you enjoyed the photos.

Yesterday was sunny/cloudy and 60 degrees. Forecast for today is sunny and 68 degrees at my destination of Palm Desert, California.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Bakersfield, California

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 218 miles from Manteca to Bakersfield, California. With the exception of about 5 miles all of the drive was under cloudy skies on California Highway 99. Prior to the building of Interstate Highway 5, Highway 99 was the major north/south route, so moderate traffic with lots of 18-wheelers. The cloudy sky was beneficial otherwise I would have been driving looking directly into the sun…
