Camping USA, East Bridgewater, Massachusetts – Day 1

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the about 50 miles from Sudbury to East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. I’m parked at Camping USA which I speak of a little later.

Mary is back at  her home in California tending to some personal business. She has made her plane reservations and will fly to meet me in Boston, Massachusetts on July 30th.

The high temperature yesterday was only 82 degrees in the shade. However, the humidity was still in the mid 70%…another miserable day for me!

Here in New England, once you gate off of the Interstate Highways (which I hate to drive on), the roads get narrow and jammed with traffic which makes for slow going…

As I mentioned above, I’m parked at Camping USA…an RV repair facility. I’m plugged into a 30 amp electrical system which allows me to run the air-conditioner which I did from my arrival at 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM…

As usual, here’s the dinette window photo…

So, why am I here? Well, my cousin Mike DiPaola works here and because he knew I was in the area, has invited me to do a seminar about Full-Time RVing which I’ll do this Saturday at 10:00 AM.

In other news…

Finally a break in the hot and humid weather! A forecasted three-day cold front has arrived! At 5:00 AM this morning it was only 65 degrees with 65% humidity. Yes! However on Sunday it appears the weather will go back into the mid to upper 80’s with high humidity once again. YUK AGAIN!

Outdoor World Campground, Sturbridge, Massachusetts – Day 7

The motorhome is parked at the Outdoor World Campground in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. I expect to depart here later this morning.

Mary is back at  her home in California tending to some personal business. She has made her plane reservations and will fly to meet me in Boston, Massachusetts on July 30th.

I’ve been hiding out in the air-conditioning of the motorhome during a week-long heat wave which is supposed to end today. The temperature is supposed to be only 84 with humidity dropping down into the 50% range. Still too darn hot and humid for my liking!

The temperature when I arose at 5:00 AM was 69 degrees with 85% humidity. Here is the forecast for today…

This campground has a nice pond which is very still at 5:30 AM. This Google Earth image shows the pond…

The temperature when I arose at 5:00 AM was 78 degrees with 93% humidity. It was so hot and humid I had the air-conditioning run on all through the night. Good thing I like to read because that’s what I’ll spend most of my day doing!

Because of the excessive heat, I talk my daily walk at 5:30 AM. Lots of bugs and mosquitoes are out at that time of the day.
