San Antonio, Texas – Day 1

Mary remains at home in California tending to medical and personal business issues. She has made her airline reservations to join me at Harlingen, Texas on January 3, 2013.

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the about 35 miles to a location in southwest San Antonio about 15 miles from downtown. The motorhome is now parked at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Airee #70. Just about everyone (seeing a new face in the club) come over to me, said hello, introduced themselves and welcomed me to their club. It’s really nice when that happens. I expect to be here for four days.

A couple of days cold front is moving through the area. Yesterday was only 54 degrees. It was 28 degrees when I awoke at 5:00 AM this morning. The high for today is forecasted at 54 degrees once again.

I’m parked in the back of the club away from the roadway noise. The barbeque shed behind the motorhome helps shield me from the cold North wind…

As always, I like to show the view from the dinette window…
