After touring the grounds we enjoyed a delightful chicken and sausage gumbo for lunch. Then we attended a great Cajun Music jam session which I’ll tell you about soon.

Enjoying Acadian villages is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

At Golden Meadow, Louisiana along the Bayou Lafourche…

Jim says: When you are in the Southern part of Cajun Country…you are also in Bayou Country!

Yesterday Mary and I traveled South for 35 miles along the Bayou Lafourche to Golden Meadow. Today was another gotta do every once in a while jobs day. First was our laundry at the Washateria. Then we both got haircuts at the one chair Marshland Hair Galley by the Owner/Stylist, Karen G. Morales.

Karen is the Owner/Stylist and the only cutter in the Marshland Hair Gallery.

By time we were done the afternoon was moving along so we opted for a parking spot along the Bayou Lafourche. Unlike the famous song Blue Bayou…here in Louisiana, the word Bayou always appears first.

Since I was driving today, I didn’t get to take many photos. You can see the other 13 pictures I took by clicking this link…
