The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Like Minden RV Resort in Nicolaus, California. I’ll depart here May 26th.
Today’s Subject…Young and pretty…but dumb!!!
Yesterday at about 10:45 in the morning, a young and pretty juvenile Acorn Woodpecker landed on my driver’s side mirror…
As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…
A closer look…
Shortly thereafter it started pecking away at my hard black plastic mirror holder…
It took a short break and started pecking away once again…
After a couple of minutes, it finally got tired of making no headway and flew away. Pun intended! 🙂
I had heard this rat-tat-tat noise a couple of days ago and just good not figure it out. I even went up on the roof to look for what might be causing this unusual noise.
Twice later in the day…rat-tat-tat…etc…once again! I finally ended up shooing them off.

Yesterday was partly sunny and 72 degrees. Forecast for today is partly sunny and 70 degrees.
Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
