Yesterday I drove the motorhome from Yuma, Arizona to Salt Creek Beach at the Salton Sea in California. I’ll depart here later this morning.

I spent last night at Sand Creek Beach Campground along the eastern shore of the Salton Sea. The X in the below Google earth image shows the location. California Highway 111 lies atop the San Andreas Fault…

All of the photos in this blog posting were taken during my stay here in February, 2017…

I arrived at 4 PM and this was the view through the dinette window…

Looking North…

Looking South…

Just after sunset…

There was an almost full moon…

This photo was shot at midnight using only moon light…

At 6:30AM, Mount San Jacinto towering over Palm Springs is 50 miles away…

There are lots of birds around…

Because it is kind of remote, this campground is very peaceful and quiet. A nice change after 2.5 months of city life.

I hope you enjoyed the photos.

Forecast for today is mostly cloudy and 71 degrees.

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
