San Antonio, Texas Day 1 (GA323)

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 23rd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at Mary’s home in Murphys, California. I expect to depart here April 26th.

Mary remains at home in California tending to medical and personal business issues. She has made her airline reservations to join me at Harlingen, Texas on January 3, 2013.

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the about 35 miles to a location in southwest San Antonio about 15 miles from downtown. The motorhome is now parked at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Airee #70. Just about everyone (seeing a new face in the club) come over to me, said hello, introduced themselves and welcomed me to their club. It’s really nice when that happens. I expect to be here for four days.

A couple of days cold front is moving through the area. Yesterday was only 54 degrees. It was 28 degrees when I awoke at 5:00 AM this morning. The high for today is forecasted at 54 degrees once again.

I’m parked in the back of the club away from the roadway noise. The barbecue shed behind the motorhome helps shield me from the cold North wind…
