Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 23rd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here
The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Turtle Beach RV Resort in Manteca, California. I’ll depart here later this morning.
Over the years, I’ve had occasional problems while backing up my Bronco. We’ve all had them…almost banging into something like another car, a pole, a person, etc…
I got to thinking about that recently and went to Amazon to see what I could find. As an ex-engineer I have a tendency to do in-depth research (several hours)when buying things, especially electronic things.
I came across this device and like usual spent a long time considering it…then priced at $109. I decided to sleep on it (did I really want/need this device?). When I went back to Amazon, I saw something I had not seen before…a limited 15 minute promotion for only $59! I had already made the decision to buy it, so immediately pushed the add to cart button and made the purchase. A big smile on my face for saving $50 in an instant!
Here are some photos…
As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…
The box…
The stuff on the left goes in the front of the vehicle and the stuff on the right in the back…
Look closely and you can see the camera over the center of the plate. A sensor controls the six LED’s which illuminate after dark…
I’ve mounted it on the furthest leftward point of the dashboard. When going forward, it remains off…
When shifting into reverse the screen lights up. In this photo, the motorhome is six feet behind the Bronco. so I get six feet of warning before I back into something. Of course, I can see things a lot further away than the six indicated by the markers…
Being meticulous, the install took me about two hours and hopefully, this device will prevent that from happening!
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS.
Forecast for today is mostly cloudy and 69 degrees.
Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!

My current travel rig is a 2006 Fleetwood 26′ Class A Motorhome and a towed 1986 Ford Bronco II, Eddie Bauer Model. This photo was taken in the desert at Slab City near Niland, California…
