The motorhome is now parked at VFW Post #8874 in Los Alamos. I expect to be here several days.
Because of my central in-town location, yesterday I walked about five minutes to arrive at the Los Alamos Historical Museum. It’s rather small, but very interesting.
Los Alamos is a picturesque place built upon four mesas at about the 7,200 elevation level. It was the location of the secret town where the first atomic bombs created for World War II were assembled. You can read all about Los Alamos by clicking this Wikipedia informational link…

The making of the atomic bomb was known as the Manhattan Project. To read about it, click this link…

The first atomic bomb test was conducted at a place known as Trinity Site, about 250 miles south of Los Alamos. It’s only open to the public twice a year…the first Saturday in April and October. I happened to be in New Mexico in April of 2007. Here’s the link to the photos I took there…

In other news…
The accident happened four months ago today. I remain wearing my elastic chest bandage until 2:00 PM daily, taking Ibuprofen twice a day and icing my chest twice a day. If you missed the Blog entry about the accident, click this link… http://wp.me/pDCku-4Eh To fully understand this tragic accident, you’ll need to read the several subsequent Blog entries. It appears it’s going to be a long, slow healing process.
