Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here
The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Resort in Monroe, Washington. I’m currently scheduled to depart here October 4th..
Since my RVing life is changing (see above), I’m starting to re-visit previously visited places. So rather than constantly re-blogging past entries, I’ve decided to do something different.
In 2011-2013, Mary and I did a 682 day, 12,679 miles in the motorhome and 8,000 miles in the Bronco, circumnavigation of the United States, which I called The Great Adventure. I called it so because other than my oldest granddaughter’s high school graduation in June in Connecticut, I didn’t know where we would be going or when we would be there!</div?
So, unless I do something really different and unusual warranting a new blog entry, I’ll be posting entries from that trip.
The motorhome is still parked at Heron Lake State Park about 20 miles south of Chama, New Mexico while I am recovering from my May 27th accident.
My right ribcage area remains slightly swollen and tender to the touch. I’m pleased to report some progress…with the exceptions of a cough or a sneeze, the poppings, with the associated pains, in my chest have finally stopped! I remain taking Ibuprofen, icing my ribcage area 2-3 times a day and wearing an elastic bandage abound my chest. The doctors told me to expect 6-12 weeks for recovery. The accident occurred seven weeks and four days ago today. Can you tell I’m ready for the recovery to be finished?
I’ve decided to entitle today’s Blog entry as…A Day In The Life Of Heron Lake, New Mexico.
It’s a photographic presentation of essentially identical photos taken through the dinette window of the motorhome with one major difference…each photo was taken at a different hour. At 5:00 AM it’s still too dark, so I started at 6:00 AM and ran through 9:00 PM. I hope you enjoy the sequence…
