The Change-Over Process Begins…

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Resort along the bank of the Skykomish River in Monroe, Washington. I’ll depart here July 5th.

Yesterday I fired up my new Windows 10 computer for the first time. Thanks to the several hours of tutoring videos on YouTube, the process was not near as terrifying as I first imagined. New computers come with an abundance of bloatware…that is programs you will never use and running in the background will slow your computer. Those have to be evaluated and then uninstalled. Then there’s a whole bunch of new stuff that has to be downloaded, not to mention program and file transfers. That’s where my 12 hour day began.

Then with a new operating system you don’t know where all the various commands you are looking for are located. So, a lot of hunting is involved.

I finally got my new 1tb hard drive to work and transferred 149,277 photo files to it. Today the process continues.

In the below photo my old (current on the way out Windows 7) computer is on the left and my new Windows 10 computer is on the right…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

And so the process continues today. The change-over will finally be complete (who knows when) when I can shut my old computer for the last time and the new one takes over my computer working activities.

In the meantime, I’ll just continue having a whole bunch of fun (pun intended) completing the change-over process.  🙂

Yesterday was partly sunny and 73 degrees. Forecast for today is partly sunny and 78 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!
