Woodburn To Oregon City, Oregon

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click

Yesterday I drove the motorhome 25 miles from Woodburn to Oregon City, Oregon.

All of the trip was on U.S. Highway 99.

I’ve passed by Oregon City on Interstate Highway 205 going around Portland for many years.

Not long ago I finished reading a book about the Oregon Trail and discovered that it ended at Oregon City. Looking at Google earth to identify its exact location, I promised myself to stop and see the city next time I was in the area. That happened yesterday.

Upon arrival I parked at the Clackamette RV Park directly along the shore of the Willamette River…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

This Google earth image shows my location close in to everything…

I had a riverfront site…

The view through the windshield…

And the usual dinette window photo. The view did not matter because it faces south and I kept my blinds drawn down to block the sun…plus they left shortly after I took the photo…

Photos taken around the city…

Finally, here’s a 180 degree view of the river in front of my motorhome taken at 8:15PM…

It’s really neat to visit historical places!

I’ll depart here later this morning.

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS.

Yesterday was mostly sunny and 76 degrees. Forecast for today is mostly sunny and 82 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

The red dot on the below map shows my approximate location in the State of California. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
