Let There Be Cool Light…

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at Mary’s home in Murphys, California. I’ll be leaving here tomorrow morning.

While here, I’ve been doing routine maintenance, repairs and general cleaning.

My final accomplishment here was to get some cool light.

The motorhome came with three halogen lights in the dinette area. In the below photo the center one has been removed…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

The halogen life are advertised as long-life. In the eight years I’ve been in this motorhome I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve replaced the halogen bulbs. About 10 days ago, two out of the three halogen bulbs burnt out at the same time! Did I mention how hot the are?

Enough, I said! Time to switch to LED fixtures. I went online to Amazon and found very reasonably priced replacements.

The below photo shows the halogen cover and fixture on the left and the new LED on the right…

Yesterday I installed the new LED light fixtures and am very pleased with the replacements. They provide lots of light and are cool to the touch. Each one has a separate switch if I should care to shut it off…

A great buy at $31.65 including free shipping!

Copy this and put it in the Amazon search box…

Yesterday was cloudy and 59 degrees. Forecast for today is cloud with a shower and 68 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
