I Get Boosted Once Again…

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.
I’m currently in my 22nd year of full-time RVing and my lifestyle is changing, For more info click Here

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails San Benito RV Resort, Paicines, California. I’ll depart from here April 19th.

Back when I started full-time RVing, I didn’t have to be concerned about getting an Internet signal. There was no Internet.

In 2009, I bought my first 3G signal booster. You can read all about that event by clicking this link…

That signal booster served me well until I moved up to 4G in October, 2005 which you can read about by clicking this link…

The new 4G Verizon Jetpack worked adequately without a signal booster. At times, depending on location, it would switch back to 3G. The slower speed really didn’t bother me as all I have is time.

I managed with that situation until a couple of weeks ago when I bought my new Roku device for streaming TV which I’m loving. For the first time ever, I can watch what I want, when I want for free and no commercials! You can read about my new Roku device by clicking this link…

Since my 3G booster was no longer needed and wasn’t bothering me, I just left it in its installed position in a cabinet above the entry door of the motorhome…

Since I’m in a current location with a weaker signal (two bars on my Jetpack without the booster), my Roku device needs a good signal to provide streaming with no loading interruptions, I decided I should upgrade and get a 4G signal booster. It arrived the day before yesterday and I’ve been busy installing  and fine tuning it. Because of a slightly different configuration, I elected not to put it in the cabinet over the entry door and instead mounted it next to my Jetpack on a small shelf to the right of the passenger seat…

The new booster is now providing a steady 4-bar signal and I’ve not yet experienced video pausing to load in the middle of a program. It appears my new streaming experience will provide uninterrupted video enjoyment.

A free bonus gift ($30 value) was included with my order. I had never used one before, but it really works good. Nice and clear reception while I walk around with hands-free operation…

Yesterday was mostly cloudy with some rain and 63 degrees. Forecast for today is mostly cloudy with showers and 58 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

The red dot on the below map shows my approximate location in the State of California. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
