Florence To Newport, Oregon

Mary is no longer available for RV traveling, but we remain good friends.
Because we have 4,000+ postings, I’ve invited her to continue posting entries on this blog.

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 50 miles from Florence to Newport, Oregon. I’m parked at Thousand Trails Whalers Rest RV Resort a few miles south of Newport. I’ve stayed here a number of times in past years.

I moved to the west coast in 1979 and over the years have driven the coast road numerous times and quite thoroughly explored the area. I plan to depart from here later this morning.

The photos in today’s blog are from some of those past years…

The below Google Earth image shows the campground location about six miles south of Newport. In case you are wondering about my codes…A tells me the location of the American Legion Post, E tells me the location of the Eagles Club and MU tells me the location of a museum…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
