Skagit Bay Beach #3…

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV Resort along the shore of Skagit Bay in La Conner, Washington. I’ve been here a number of times over the past years and always enjoy it here. It’s my favorite resort in the entire Thousand Trails system. My departure date is August 7th.

Mary is dealing with her over-flowing to-do list plate which can only be handled by herself. The construction of Mary’s rental continues along…slowly. She now is hoping to rejoin me by early September.  😦

I get a lot of nice comments about my photography. I shoot what I call…honest photography. In other words, I refuse to use any radical image altering programs like Photoshop. All I’ll admit to (and the truth) is minor cropping and perhaps a little color enhancement. Essentially, what you see is what I saw. Photography schools teach the best time of day to photograph is the hour just after sunrise or the hour just before sunset. The theory being dramatic side lighting is more enjoyable than midday overhead strong sunlight. It’s true…however most of my photography occurs between 10 AM and 2 PM…when it’s most convenient for me. I started photography in 1974 and was fortunate in my early years to have got some good photography schooling.

Today’s photos are a good example…shot in mid-afternoon. I walked along the beach of Skagit Bay shooting what I could find in the mid-afternoon lighting. Here are the last of the photos I took that day…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!

      Hi Cuz,
Sorry, I cannot help you. When in this area, I stay in Thousand Trails. Best I can help is to recommend you do a Google search. Are you coming to Seattle?
