My Long-Time Friend Makes It to 75!

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Resort in Monroe, Washington. My scheduled departure date is July 24th..

Mary is dealing with her over-flowing to-do list plate which can only be handled by herself. The construction of Mary’s rental continues along…slowly. She now is hoping to rejoin me by early September.  😦

My friend of 65 years marked his 75th birthday four days ago. Yesterday Al Penta and I had a celebration meal at our favorite Mexican restaurant here in Monroe where he resides.

Being an active bicyclist has kept him in good shape. For 30 years he walked the route of a mailman…

I had a birthday card made with a photo of Al when he was 10 years old on the front of the card…

On the back of the card was the other two of the young Three Musketeers who were always seen together as youngsters. I met them both when we were all ten years old at the Liberty Elementary School in Revere, Massachusetts. Then Billy Gallagher…

Using my computer, I was able to make the above photos from our 5th grade graduation picture. Bill is upper left, Al is lower right and I’m at me…

Al and I called Bill, who turned 75 this past May 25th, back in New Hampshire during our lunch. In addition to treating him to lunch, I gave him $75 worth of lotto tickets. Good luck, Al!

Long-time friends are really neat! I’m the younger of the three and will not reach my big 75th until this coming December. Al and I made a date to meet here again in 2040 for the really big 100th birthday. See you then…hopefully!  🙂

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS.

Yesterday was a cloudy/sunny and 83 degrees. Forecast for today is cloudy/sunny and 88 degrees.

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
