Seaside, Oregon To Seaview, Washington

Mary is dealing with her over-flowing to-do list plate which can only be handled by herself. The construction of Mary’s rental continues along…slowly. She now is hoping to rejoin me by early September.  😦

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 35 miles from Seaside, Oregon to Seaview, Washington.

On the way to Seaview, I crossed the Columbia River on the bridge that goes from Astoria, Oregon to Megler, Washington. According to Wikipedia, at 4.1 miles it is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America. You can read all about this bridge by clicking this Wikipedia link…

You can see the bridge location in the below Google Earth image. The TT pin marks my current location…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

I approached the bridge heading in an easterly direction…

Up on the bridge, one lane was closed to facilitate sandblasting and painting…

Once over the highest point of the bridge you still have a way to go before reaching Washington…

I took the following three photos a few years back. This one is from a hilltop overlooking Astoria…

Down along the waterfront in Astoria…

Climbing the upward incline ramp…

I’m scheduled to be in Seaview for 3 days. I’ve been here several times before and always enjoy this beautiful area.

Yesterday was a cloudy/sunny day at 62 degrees. Forecast for today is cloudy/sunny and 65 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

The red dot on the below map shows my approximate location in the State of Washington. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
