The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV Resort in Seaside, Oregon. I’ve been here a number of times before, so I’ve thoroughly seen all of the local tourist attractions. So, now I’m just hanging out enjoying the nice weather.
Mary is dealing with her over-flowing to-do list plate which can only be handled by herself. The construction of Mary’s rental continues delay plagued. She now is hoping to rejoin me by early September. 😦
Today’s subject…I’ve found a replacement for Mary…
Back in junior high school science classes we learned…
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction
It’s one of Newton’s Laws which kinda-sorta applies to today’s subject…
The first photo below shows how an RVer empties his waste water tanks. The first step is to empty the black water (toilet) waste tank first, then the grey water (dishwater, etc…) tank.
Once the 4″ valve is pulled into the open position, the RVer needs to make sure the end of the hose is securely in place or it will react like an unattended fire hose flying wildly about. It would not be a pretty sight or event!
Whenever I dump our tanks, I would have Mary step upon the red 90 degree piece to ensure we had no wild and crazy sewer hose flying wildly about…
As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…
But, what to do when Mary is not with me…like now?
Together we come up with the solution. Mary sewed an old jeans pant leg into two pieces with five pounds of sand on each side. In the below photo you can see Mary’s replacement in action…holding the hose nicely in place.
I’ll be the first to acknowledge…in all other departments…I’d rather have the real Mary with me. 🙂
Now…if only for just a brief second…I’ll bet you were thinking some thing else when I first mentioned today’s subject! Gotcha! 🙂
Yesterday was sunny/cloudy and 63 degrees. Today’s forecast is cloudy/sunny and 65 degrees.
Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!
The red dot on the below map shows our approximate location in the State of Oregon. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…
Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
