Thousand Trails Whalers Rest RV Resort – Newport, Oregon

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 50 miles from Florence to Newport, Oregon. I moved to the west coast in 1979 and over the years have driven the coast road numerous times and quite thoroughly explored the area. I plan to depart from here next Monday.

Mary is dealing with her over-flowing to-do list plate which can only be handled by herself. I’m hoping she will be able to rejoin me sometime after July 4th.

The below Google Earth image shows the campground location about six miles south of Newport. In case you are wondering about my codes…A tells me the location of the American Legion Post, E tells me the location of the Eagles Club and MU tells me the location of a museum…
