Yesterday I drove the 123 miles from Nicolaus to Anderson, California.
Change of plans…
2015 is proving to be an overwhelming year for Mary. Her to-do plate is overflowing. Among the many things requiring her time is the completion of construction of a rental property in Rogue River, Oregon. Mary will be driving there today for a few days of hands-on involvement, then return home to continue dealing with her over-flowing plate.
Mary’s stuff can only be attended to by herself…she’s always telling me she can not get anything done when I’m around. 🙂
So, I’ll depart from here with the motorhome and Bronco later this morning and arrive at Rogue River this afternoon for a four-day stay after which I’ll head for the Oregon Pacific Coast for about a six-week visit and then into the State of Washington for the summer. My primary goals are to stay in 65-75 degree weather and take maximum advantage of my Thousand Trails membership.
We are now hoping for Mary to rejoin me sometime after July 4th. Our planned trip to Yellowstone National Park and Wyoming will hopefully now occur after the Labor Day holiday.

Most of yesterday’s travel was on U.S. Highway 99 which passes through miles of fruit orchards…much better than the alternate of Interstate Highway 5…
Along the way I stopped at a couple of GoodWill stores to buy some used books to add to my waiting-to-be read collection.
Approaching Anderson I spotted Mount Shasta 65 miles away. I grabbed my camera and manged to get this neat shot even though I was driving…
Arriving at Anderson, California I parked at the rear of very friendly VFW Post#9650 for the night. They even provided me with a 30 amp electrical hookup. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay…
And here’s the usual dinette window photo…
Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!
Yesterday was sunny and 88 degrees. Too danged hot! Today’s forecast is sunny and 83 degrees. Still to danged hot!
The red dot on the below map shows our approximate location in the State of California. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…
Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!

We are about to purchase a motor home and may also purchase a membership with Thousand Trails. Any advice? Blessings to you and Mary…
I’ve been a TT member since 2002 and I enjoy all the campgrounds. The more you use the membership, the better the value. Good luck with your motorhome travels.
