Parker To Bullhead City, Arizona

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 90 miles from Parker to Bullhead City, Arizona. Mary continues to be overwhelmed with personal business. I am now not expecting to see her again until I arrive at her home in Murphys, California about the third week in April. It’s just the way things are and we just have to deal with it.

Immediately leaving Parker, I crossed the Colorado River into California…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

This next photo looks left about 45 degrees in the driver’s seat and shows the 7″ LCD color monitor for my rear view camera system. The monitor is held in place by a suction cup and sits on a leather pillow to help support the weight…

Except for one small highway junction, for 65 miles there is essentially no civilization…

If you remember the movie The Grapes of Wrath…the Joad Family followed U.S. Highway Route 66 and crossed the Colorado River into California at Needles. Along the way yesterday I passed through Needles and took a few photos that driving in the traffic would allow…

Needles has apparently one homeless person…It’s really hard to imagine this guy’s life…

Once again I cross the Colorado River…this time back into Arizona…

About 20 miles later I parked in the rear of friendly VFW Post #10005 where they provided me with an electrical hookup…

Here’s the usual dinette window photo…

I’ll continue my travels north towards Las Vegas, Nevada later this morning.

The red dot on the below map shows our approximate location in the State of California. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
