Murphys, California

Yesterday I drove the motorhome 113 miles from Nicolaus to Murphys, California. The motorhome is now parked at Mary’s home. My next departure date is set for December 1st. During the next two months I’ll attend to my cataract surgery, cleaning, maintenance and minor repairs to both the motorhome and Bronco and assist Mary with some of her activities.

Before leaving Thousand Trails RV Resort at Nicolaus yesterday morning, Mary and I took and early morning walk. Here are some of the photos that I took…

After our walk, Mary got to telling me about her walk around the lake the day before yesterday without me or her camera. She said she saw a fish that was this big…

Ans its mouth looked like this…

Mary and I laugh a great deal in our relationship. I call her Lucy Ball Matzek and tell her that she is more fun than a zoo full of orangutangs!  🙂

After leaving the RV Resort we stopped at the 49er Truck Wash near Sacramento. The motorhome was really dirty and needed a good exterior cleaning. Looking better now…

After a stop at Costco for gasoline, I finished the drive to Mary’s home. Driving the narrow and winding roads…essentially with only my left eye was very fatiguing. Upon arrival I simply just parked the rig on the most level spot and left it there…

And the usual dinette window photo…

Today I’ll unhook the Bronco and drive the motorhome up next to Mary’s home. There we will unload lots of stuff. Then I’ll turn the motorhome around and park it in essentially the same spot where it will sit for the next two months for a good interior cleaning, some maintenance work and minor repairs. On December 1st I’m expecting to hit the road once again. Mary will fly to join me in Yuma, Arizona shortly after the beginning of the new year. Till then…I sit!

With regards to my upcoming cataract pre-op exam and consultation is set for tomorrow at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto, California…surgery is scheduled for October 9th.

Yesterday was a cloudy/sunny/rainy day and 67 degrees. Forecast for today is cloudy/sunny and 70 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
