Thousand Trails RV Resort – La Conner, Washington

Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 65 miles from Monroe to LaConner, Washington.

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails RV Resort along the shore of Skagit Bay in LaConner, Washington. I’ve been here a number of times over the past years and always enjoy it here. It’s my favorite resort in the entire Thousand Trails system. My departure date is July 29th.

Mary is at home tending to personal matters…home maintenance, family, friends, rentals, etc..  She has made her flight reservations to meet me July 29th in Bellingham, Washington.

About one-half of the trip was on Interstate Highway 5. The below photo was taken in a lighter-traveled section of the highway…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

On the back road heading to my destination, Mt. Baker could be seen in the distance…

This bridge crosses over the Swinomish Channel…

Just holding my camera high and to the right, I took a blind shot hoping to catch LaConner. Not a bad shot for being on the move…

The park entrance…

My camping spot…

And the usual dinette window photo…

And a bonus view through the front windshield…

Yesterday was a sunny day at 73 degrees. Forecast for today is cloudy/sunny and 69 degrees. Perfect!

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

The red dot on the below map shows our approximate location in the State of Washington. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!

  1. La Conner is my favorite Thousand Trails Preserve, too. I am green with envy at your good fortune! ;->

Thanks for your comment. Yeah, this is a neat area. I loved the pisture of your owl…great shot!

      • Thanks. He just fluttered down right in front of me, but didn’t stay long.

Yeah, they do not sit in one place very long. Where was the photo taken?

      • In my backyard in Sierra Vista, Arizona. They usually hang out up by the office in a stand of huge pine trees, but I think this was “branching” out on his own. It was in mid-afternoon, and they usually stay put in the trees until dusk.

I’ve been to Sierra Vista in 2012. You were lucky to be in the right spot at the right time. Thanks.

      • Take a peek at my ANIMALS SPOTTED page shown under the picture of my Lazy Daze, and you will see why we get so much action. ;->
