The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Resort along the bank of the Skykomish River in Monroe, Washington. I’ve been here a number of times over the past years and always enjoy it here. My scheduled departure date is July 8th.
Mary is at home tending to personal matters…home maintenance, family, friends, rentals, etc.. She has made her flight reservations to meet me July 29th in Bellingham, Washington.
I’m an early to bed…early to rise kind of guy. Yesterday morning at around 5:30 AM, I noticed a morning mist hanging over the Skykomish River here at the RV park. So I grabbed my camera and went out to take a few photos. To get down to the river level I went via a rarely used boat launch ramp at the end of the road…
As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…
A gazebo sits atop the higher bank and the boat ramp goes down on the right…
From the upper bank a look left downstream to the west…
Then a look to the right upstream to the east…
Down the boat ramp to get at river level…
At river level looking downstream to the west…
At river level looking upstream to the right…

A watercolor photo looking upstream…
A 180 degree panorama looking left to right…west to east…
Back at the top of the boat ramp all of the along-the-river campsites are occupied…
Very early morning and very late afternoon frequently gives the best opportunity for some nice photos because of the severe side lighting as opposed to the direct overhead light of mid-day.
