The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Long Beach RV Resort in Seaview, Washington. My scheduled departure date is June 17th.
Mary is at home tending to personal matters…home maintenance, family, friends, rentals, etc.. She is now scheduled to meet me July 29th in Bellingham, Washington.
I’m currently camped about one mile north from where Captain William Clark (of Lewis and Clark) stepped upon the sand beach of Beards Hollow on the shore of the Pacific Ocean on November 19, 1805. It marks the most westerly point achieved by the Lewis and Clark expedition.
A 1/4 mile walk west of the campground…brings you to the Pacific Ocean…

Here’s a Lewis and Clark route map showing my proximity to that famous site. Looking closely you will see Captain Clark and his men walked north (left) on the beach by my campground. They went about nine miles further north before returning to Ilwaco. They then crossed the Columbia River to winter at Fort Clatsop in Oregon which I wrote about recently.
