Astoria-Megler Bridge, Oregon/Washington

The motorhome is parked at Thousand Trails Long Beach RV Resort in Seaview, Washington. My scheduled departure date is June 17th.

Mary is at home tending to personal matters…home maintenance, family, friends, rentals, etc..  She is now scheduled to meet me July 29th in Bellingham, Washington.

On the way to Seaview two days ago, I crossed the Columbia River on the bridge that goes from Astoria, Oregon to Megler, Washington. According to Wikipedia, at 4.1 miles it is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America. You can read all about this bridge by clicking this Wikipedia link…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astoria-Megler_Bridge

You can see the bridge location in the below Google Earth image. The TT pin marks my current location…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

Once over the highest point of the bridge you still have a way to go before reaching Washington…

I’m scheduled to be in Seaview for 13 days. I’ve been here several times before and always enjoy this beautiful area.

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PHOTOS.

Yesterday was a cloudy/sunny day at 62 degrees. Forecast for today is cloudy/sunny and 63 degrees.

Enjoying nice weather is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

The red dot on the below map shows our approximate location in the State of Washington. You may double left-click the map to make it larger…

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
