The motorhome is currently parked at Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Resort in Monroe, Washington.
I’m now waiting for the last several days of rain storm to leave the area. It was chilly yesterday with the rain. High temperature was only 57 degrees. Today’s forecast is 56 degrees with some more rain. It’s supposed to clear up by Thursday. I’m currently planning to leave here tomorrow.
Today’s Blog entry might be called..The many moods of the river.
To better illustrate today’s photos, I’m including this Google Earth image of the campground along the bank of the Skykomish River. My location is marked with the X and the boat ramp is just to my left…
As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…
When I arrived here last Tuesday, I walked down the boat ramp and took these two photos…
Looking upriver…
Looking downriver…
In this photo you can see the cut of the land leading down to the boat ramp in front of my motorhome. A portion of the river can be seen on the left…
This photo looks down the boat ramp. The concrete blocks of the boat ramp can no longer be seen, which means the spot where I stood last Tuesday is now about 20 feet out into the river and now covered by probably 10 feet of water. You can see where I must have stood to look around the bushes on the left to take the downriver photo…
Unable now to reach that spot yesterday, I took this upriver photo from high ground…
The bushes to the left now impede my ability to take a downriver photo similar to last Tuesday…
Here are some photos of the river taken from the kitchen window of the motorhome yesterday…
About 2:30 PM, the sun tried to come out for a few moments…
About 4:30 PM, another burst of rain…
By 7:30 PM, the rain has stopped for a while…
The rainfall in this area for the last couple of weeks has set some new records…essentially doubling normal rainfall for the period leading to some flooding in some of the local areas. It will be nice to see the sun return once again. At least I’m no longer complaining about the heat and humidity! 🙂
Last night I watched another movie from the 1930’s. This time it was 1933 – Frankenstein – starring Boris Karloff. Another classic!
Enjoying Thousand Trails RV Resorts is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

Enjoying 65-75 degree temperatures with low humidity most of the year is a primary joy in the RVing lifestyle!
