Glacier National Park, Montana – Day 2

The motorhome is parked in the Apgar Campground of Glacier National Park near West Glacier, Montana.

Yesterday Mary and I drove the Bronco along 42 miles of the Going To The Sun Road in Glacier National Park including going over Logan Pass which is at 6,649 feet elevation. It was a cloudy with some sun kind of day. It was also quite hazy which did not help our photographic efforts. You can read all about this road by clicking this Wikipedia link… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Going-to-the-Sun_Road

Here are some of the photos that I took yesterday…

Yesterday was a decent day. 81 degrees…humidity still far to high. Today’s forecast 83 degrees. YUCKITTY!

We’ll continue our westward travel later this morning.

Enjoying beautiful national parks is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

    Wonderful photos!
On a different note… I checked out the link for your books and Mexico is a bit far for us now, but wondered if you had a book or one in the works for traveling the US or Canada? We’ve got a 10 year planning window! Ha!

Thanks for your comment. Sorry no book or planned one about traveling the U.S.and Canada. An alternative would be to spend some time looking at the more than 2,700 Blog entries of our blog for ideas of where to go and what to see. They go back to 2009.

        I plan on it!
My biggest, burning question would be how do you find all of the free places to stay at night? Have you posted about that?

      • ramblinmanjimj

We are members of Elks, Moose, Eagles, America Legion and VFW. I find them on Google Earth or on their individual site location websites. Casinos, city parks, etc. can be found at freecamping.com.

Thank so much for the insight!! =-)

        Glad you found it helpful.
