Lubbock, Texas – Day 4

Mary remains at home in California tending to medical issues.

The motorhome is still parked at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Airee #4271. I expect to leave here tomorrow morning.

Yesterday I wrote about the Buddy Holly Center near downtown Lubbock located at the corner of 19th Street and The Crickets Avenue. Directly across the street to the west is the Texas Walk Of Fame. Here is a plaque that explains it…

As always you may left click upon an image to see an enlarged view and then click once again to see an even larger view…

The Texas Walk Of Fame consists of 65 plaques (currently) on a curved wall with an eight foot tall statue of Buddy Holly in the center forefront…

Even though I’m not from Texas, here are some of the names I recognized…

A side view…

This almost back view shows that Buddy Holly has a good view of the Buddy Holly Center directly across the street…

Enjoying interesting places and things is another joy in the life of a full-time RVer!

    Very Cool Jim!!

  2. Hi Jim, great blog and photos! I work for a wall covering company and one of our clients would like to use your buddy holly statue photo for an assisted living home in Lubbock, TX. Would you be open to this ? Thank you for your time !

      Hi Casey,

No problem…just give me credit for the photo. I’d enjoy seeing a photo of your finished project.
      Jim

      • Hi Jim, Thank you so much ! I understand why you would ask for that but the hard part is giving credit in the actual piece of art, as these go in a large collage with lots of other photos and no other credits involved. I can surely share your info with my clients and keep you updated with the progress if that is enough? please feel free to email me for any further details 🙂 I can also show you an example of how your photo may be used. Thank you so much for your openness to this !

I love your photos and blog and am jealous of your adventures !
